The 20th anniversary celebration of the event received guests that included Sarah Jessica Parker and Julianna Margulies, both of whom were also honored at the event. While the 51-year-old Sex and The City star received the Brand Visionary Award, ‘The Good Wife’ Margulies bagged the Style Influencer Award together with costume designer of the show, Dan Lawson. Burberry Announces Shift in Venue ahead of London Fashion Week
British fashion brand Burberry, known for its iconic check-pattern, recently revealed that they will shift base for the upcoming London Fashion Week (LFW) in September. Their shows are usually held at Kensington Gardens—a sprawling venue that is known to allow onlookers glimpses into the famous celebrities attending the annual event. However, according to a release from the high fashion designer, this time they are moving the show to Maker's House at 1 Manette Street. This move will take them closer to Brewer Street Car Park in Soho—the central venue for the fashion week.
This is not the only change Burberry is making before this year’s LFW; a few months back the designer announced that they will combine the shows for both womenswear and menswear for the first time.
French Fashion Designer Sonia Rykiel Passes Away
Sonia Rykiel, the iconic fashion designer who was nicknamed ‘The Queen of Knitwear,’ died on August 25 in Paris aged 86. The designer had been battling Parkinson's disease for more than 15 years.
A pioneer in womenswear known for her bright colors and easy-to-wear designs, Rykiel started off in 1968 by launching her first fashion store in the French capital. Her fun, chic creations soon made her famous, with her name becoming synonymous with the “poorboy” sweaters. At that time, her quirky clothes for regular women came as a rebellious act in fashion as until then women mostly dressed in somber colors. The designer’s death has saddened not only the fashion world, but people in all walks of life because Rykiel gave us an unashamed appreciation of bright, living colors.

As graceful as ever, she posed for the magazine’s August 23 issue in a black-and-white sheath dress with geometric detailing.

With someone like Michelle Obama donning his creation, Simkhai seems to have found a fan in power women too.

Girls stars Lena and Jemima Pose in Lingerie for Non-photoshopped Pictures
"Challenging the traditional lingerie stereotypes," Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke got together recently for an impressive new lingerie campaign. The series of lingerie portraits pictured the two women sporting lacy lingerie for the lingerie label Lonely from New Zealand.
They were photographed in a relaxed, natural setting hanging around the house in their undergarments, evoking similarities to their characters in the TV series. The pictures were left untouched by Photoshop—pushing the cause of women embracing their natural bodies and celebrating the female form. This shoot was also in keeping with the brand’s mission to create intimate wear for women "who wear lingerie as a love letter to themselves."
Naked Cashmere Ropes in Kate Moss for Brand Campaign
Supermodel Kate Moss will be seen as the face of Naked Cashmere: a new, premium cashmere line that is set to make its online debut next month. The 42-year-old style icon appears sensuous in the sneak peek of the line’s stripped-down advertising campaign. Fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh is the man behind the lens for the elegant, sexy images and the campaign was created by David Lipman.
This new line, which will focus on making available premium cashmere at affordable rates, will offer 100 percent cashmere products for both men and women, with prices between $50 and $500.
