Rose, Unik Apparel
Posted on December 01 2014
We sat down with Rose, the style blogger behind Unik Apparel and asked her a few questions about her background as a style blogger and her style.
We're thankful for Rose taking the time from updating her blog to give us some insight on her style, her inspiration, and her favorite outfits.
This is what we asked her:
What sets your style apart from other personal style bloggers?
I don’t post personal style pictures, but I style looks that I think my audience would like. I try to be a source of inspiration for my readers and provide a way for them to get their favorite looks at a budget friendly price.
What inspired you to start your blog?
It started with me having an online shop. I wanted to document the process of being a new business owner, but also my favorite fashion trends, share styling tips and outfit inspiration.
Once I closed the shop, I kept the blog and started sharing emerging designers, indie shops and local finds.
What is your favorite outfit that you've posted so far?
A very recent look I styled for a ModCloth challenge. The fall layered look quickly became my uniform. It’s so crisp and versatile for our ever changing SoCal weather.
What new pieces have you picked up for winter that we haven't seen on the blog yet?
Fall and winter are my favorite seasons. I love wearing layers and styling looks with boots. Although we haven’t had much of a fall this year, I bought a few pieces I’m very excited to wear very soon. I adore stripes and polka dots, so I quickly snatched this pair of fun socks from Uniqlo.
Tell us a bit more about yourself
I work from home as a freelance fashion & beauty writer, I mostly wear leggings all day with a cute top and minimal accessories. I’m always buying new leggings to add to my arsenal. H&M makes the best ones (Rose - you should try The Kewl Shop). They are extremely comfortable, easy to style and inexpensive. I’m currently wearing this cute printed tregging that I got on their online shop. This black bag from Sole Society was on my pinterest wish list for a while and I just got it to replace my everyday bag.
Thanks so much for sharing your inspiration and outfits with The Kewl Shop, Rose!
